I have a double MS degree, from the University of Southern California USC and from the University of Madras and am a scientist by occupation. I have a great passion for teaching and am a part time community college teacher in San Diego for the past 13 years and tutored children from kindergarten through lower grades to high school. I love children and am able to develop a rapport with them easily and teach them in a manner that they can comprehend and understand well.
I teach English, both written and spoken English and give emphasis on building one's vocabulary, using them in phrases, grammar, reading comprehension, synonyms and antonyms and also teach for ESL, TOEFL, ACT and GRE test preps.
In Math, I teach Elementary Math, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry and teach conceptual thinking and problem solving step by step with practice lessons.
Being a Microbiology graduate, I am able to teach Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Environmental Sciences, Immunology, Ecology etc., as these are my favorite subjects.
I am a sincere and dedicated teacher and I give importance to the students being able to understand the subject matter well with conceptual basics teaching, descriptive explanation, analogies of situation, practical approach and a broad outlook.
