I received my BS in Biology from the University of California, San Diego and my Masters in Chemistry from San Diego State University. While at San Diego State, I won the graduate teaching assistant award for the subjects General Chemistry and upper division Biochemistry. Since then, I have taught College level Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at the Community Colleges. I've developed entire courses for Allied Health and Nursing Majors, and designed labs for both Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry. My tutoring experience started back in 1994 teaching both SAT and GRE study techniques. Since then, I've been teaching all math and science courses available at both the High School and College levels. Students need to know that these subjects can be mastered by learning some key concepts and how to apply them. I can simplify difficult material and explain it in terms that anyone can understand. My excellent communication skills allow me to present information quickly and efficiently, so as not to waste your or my time. Because I have a degree in both Biology and Chemistry, it's very easy for me to show students the relevance of what they are learning and how all subjects are truly related. I love to teach and that enthusiasm is contagious and typically rubs off on my students. I look forward to working with you and helping you succeed in every course you take!
Cancellation Policy:
I have many commitments and need 24 hour advanced notice for a canceled lesson; otherwise, you will be charged my rate. Cancellations must be done via text, and or phone. DO NOT SEND AN EMAIL to cancel a lesson, because I may be working with students and do not have access to the internet. Text is the number one choice, voicemail is second.
