For the past eleven years, I worked as a German, Math and History teacher. I worked with all abilities from grade 7 to 12 and continued to maintain a high standard of teaching, which led to improved examination results. As a native speaker of German, my teaching has been enhanced because students have been given not only the opportunity to work with a teacher who speaks the target language as his mother tongue but also benefit from the depth of subject knowledge, cultural awareness and established connections to maximize the learning outcome.
As a teacher I have high expectations and am committed to ensuring that all my students achieve their full potential. The delivery of subject knowledge requires innovative approaches with differentiation and assessment for learning playing great roles. Throughout my career, I have undertaken in-service training and kept abreast of new initiatives and developments taking all opportunities and experiences presented to me as part of my continuous self-improvement process.
