A little about myself, I hold a B.S. in Graphic Design w/ an emphasis in Illustration. I've been drawing as long as I remember and constantly trying to improve myself. Since graduating I've been working in the video game development industry for the last 15 years. I started as a concept and texture artist, then I learned to model in 3-d, primarily in Maya. I was both an Art Lead and manager for small teams creating levels and environments for various games. During this time I would also mentor and train all junior level artist.
Some of my hobbies are digital painting, glass sculptures, and sketching/doodling:)
I recently decided to leave the video game industry to go back to my roots in traditional art. I've had enough working for large corporations and am hoping to teach what I've learned over the years to our younger generation. I am looking forward to surrounding myself with students with ambition and drive.
I have a good understanding of breaking down complicated issues into simple ideas. I believe concept is key in art, but to have both creativity and rendering skills make an artist shine.
