I have been teaching and tutoring for over 4 years with all age groups for both individuals and small groups in the Greater San Diego Area.
I assist students in improving their academic achievement by identifying learning issues and working on study skills.
My lessons are personalized for each of my students and adapted to their unique needs in order to maximize the student's learning.
Lessons may involve reviewing class materials, discussing classroom texts, predicting test questions, using authentic materials, formulating ideas for papers, and working on solutions to problems.
I graduated from San Diego State University with a Master’s Degree in Spanish. While I specialized in Spanish Linguistics and Bilingualism, I also studied Literature and History of Mexico, Spain, the Caribbean, and South America. I also hold a certificate in Translation and Interpreting from UCSD.
I taught Spanish 101 and 102 courses at SDSU where I also developed teaching materials, prepared and administered quizzes, and graded written essays and exams. I also worked closely with professors to create teaching materials for Advanced Spanish Grammar.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you.
