I have a B.S. in Mathematics from The University of Texas, Arlington, with a Minor in Engineering, and specialize in tutoring high school math and Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and MS Project, 2003-2010 versions.
I worked as a programmer/systems analyst for almost eighteen years before moving into Project Management. My main expertise was programming in RPG, COBOL, and LANSA. I have been working with DOS and Windows on PC systems since their inception.
Originally, I gained expertise with WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3. Then, I switched in the early 90's to Microsoft's Office applications, i.e., Word and Excel, as they became the industry standards. I can provide general PC tutoring, from how to power-on PCs to troubleshooting common PC problems (non-technical and/or technical students), and how to set up Virus protection along with "safe computing" practices (for Kids or Parents!).
I can teach any of the Microsoft Office applications from beginner through advanced users. My greatest expertise is with MS Excel, where I have used pivot tables and charts for several years in analyzing production data, and then copied the charts into MS PowerPoint to present to all levels of management, including C-level executives. I have created many macros, and use VBA to customize macros and create new applications, also.
