Dr Gene is a superior tutor for my son in trigonometry and calculus. He is very knowledgeable and experienced, and can point out where my son’s weakness is right after the first lesson. He tries to find out my son’s learning style and customizes his teaching to suit his needs. I like the fact that he provides homework to reinforce learning and provides parents with a brief review for each lesson to keep them informed. We have had the benefit of Calculus BC tutoring by Gene T. on a bi-weekly basis for several months now. His teaching and guidance have exceeded my expectations. Prowess in a field does not always co-incide with the ability to teach. Gene is not only extremely knowledgeable in his field, with an impeccable background, but is able to impart this to his students. Physics is definitely one of my weakest subjects in school and I failed the first test of the semester. I met with Gene 3 times before my next midterm and got an 80 on the exam, which curved to be a grade A. Gene has been very patient with me and adapted to my styles of learning to make sure I grasp the concepts. I thought I would be a lost cause knowing close to nothing at all, but Gene quickly taught me and I had never felt so confident going into a physics test! Dr. Gene has been incredible in helping me with my studies. My grades have shown significant improvement as a result of our sessions. He is very friendly and welcoming, and easy to understand. Dr. Gene is an Excellent tutor! He explains difficult math concepts by breaking them down into understandable steps. He is more then proficient in all subjects of math and brings a level of understanding that you would only get from a seasoned math professor, which he is. Every tutoring Session I have had with Dr. Gene I left with a better understanding of the material and confidence to tackle harder problems on my own. Gene has been a great tutor for my son who is taking AP Physics C. He works on ensuring my son understands the big picture concepts and not just on the individual problems.
