My name is Lori and I received a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in Math/Computer Science. I have over ten years experience tutoring math. I have direct work experience having worked for a company that specializes in math only, teaching students ranging from the age of 4 to 20. I focus on homework, and help study for tests. When required, I work on solidifying any math concepts found especially challenging.
I have a few success stories, my greatest being a sixth grade boy who I saw for an hour at a time about four times per week. Within two months his math grade went from a D- to an A.
I have stayed home for the past three years as I have three young boys ages 11 to 16 who I also work with daily on homework. As a result I have a lot of experience with young children and I enjoy teaching them. I took the CBest and I am soon to start substitute teaching as well.
Prior to staying home with my children I worked in the business world managing a Customer Services department for a company who provided software to airlines. It was the perfect job for me at the time because I enjoyed using my computer background, while being able to work with people at the same time.
