I hold a B.A. in molecular and cell biology from University of California at Berkeley and a B.S. in health Science from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I love teaching and enjoy working with young students. I served as a teacher's assistant in my math, English and Chinese classes since I excelled in those classes during middle and high school. I have taught my younger sister piano and my friends' kids Mandarin and math. My most recent assignment was tutoring a 14-year-old girl Mandarin. I reviewed previously-learned words with her and also introduced Chinese grammar, basic sentence structures and new words. I created handouts, charts, exercises and gave her various assignments and quizzes to help her learn. It was a very fun and rewarding experience. Growing up in Taiwan, I speak and write fluent Mandarin Chinese. My strengths also include middle school and high school math. I am dedicated to helping students improve their school performance and achieve their academic goals.
