My name is Solange and my education and background is as follows: earned BS degree in Business from U.C. Berkeley,over 20 years of management experience and teaching experience in the role of business (i.e., accounting, computer software, public speaking, career development, writing) and able to teach children study skills, elementary education, reading, grammar, phonics, English and math.
I also have experience in assisting adults and children with positive habits and thoughts that will help them accomplish their goal and feel good about themselves. My experience with children has been enhanced with my Child Development coursework and allows me to understand and work with younger children. Coursework included: Preschool Years age 3 to 6, Caring for infants and toddlers in groups, Positive behavior management, Child development age 6 to 12, Adult supervision and Curriculum for the preschool classroom.
I have a passion to help children and adults with a subject they are determined to learn or a goal they want to accomplish. I believe teaching goes beyond learning the facts to master a subject or pass a test, however, I understand the importance of passing tests and accomplishing your goal. The whole process of how you learn, set your goals, accomplish your goals and how you feel during this process and what attitude you have is invaluable and will set you up for success in life. Most of us will continue to learn the rest of our lives. This includes but is not limited to: learning how to use a new product you purchased, learning information so you can pass a class, learning a new task that will help you in life and starting a new career that requires you to learn facts so you can do your job.
