Hello Prospective Students and Parents,
I am currently an undergraduate student at Sacramento State University majoring in Bio-medical Science with a concentration in Neurophysiology.
Having already transferred with an A.S in Biology I have extensive knowledge and preparation in the sciences. In addition, my background includes extensive tutoring of students with disabilities both behavioral and academic ranging from Pre-K through a college level. My background of subjects ranges from K-6th subjects though college level history, sociology and biology classes. I also specialize in study skill techniques and memorization techniques.
My methods included the use of visual aids such as white boards, and study cards for visual learners, in addition to concept mapping, and concept drawings. I also use repetition in learning new skills in subject matters of mathematics, English, science and more.
The areas of behavioral and academic disabilities I specialize in are: ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and certain types of autism to name a few.
Area's where I specialize are: homework completion, motivation, oppositional defiance in classroom, behavioral coaching and role reversal to aid in a subjects competence.
Outside of school I participate in organizations such as AMSA and MOSS in addition to volunteering at a local emergency room where I am directly involved with patient care.
I provide a stress reduced environment and patience that allows all students to learn new concepts at a pace that benefits them currently and in the future.
I look forward to working and meeting you. Thank you.
