My tutoring background is with elementary school students grades 3-6th via volunteer work. I've also worked with children who have special needs and was a peer-aide for a young girl in high school who had special needs. I'm endlessly patient and willing to explain something over and over and try different approaches. I understand that everyone learns at their own pace. There is no shame in not understanding a subject or topic the first time around.
I believe that learning can be and should be fun and I hope that I can provide a tutoring service that will help you enjoy the process. My main objective is to have you feel comfortable in making mistakes and learning from them.
About me academically: I'm a student at Sacramento City College and I'm finishing up my last class, Statistics, to transfer to either a state school or a university. My major is Cultural Anthropology and I intend to minor in TESOL. I have an AA in Anthropology, Sociology, and Social Sciences.
For my tutoring offered in ASL, I have taken 2 semesters of the language course and have a great understanding of the grammar and expressions used. If you're struggling to understand how to translate from English to ASL I'd be able to help you out!
As a photographer of 9 years I can offer tutoring in operations of either DSL, SL, or point and shoot.
