I speak, read and write English, Spanish, Russian, Italian and French. I have two bachelor's degree. One is in French and the other in Spanish with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. I am completing my Master of Arts Degree in Education with a Teaching Credential from National University in January of 2012.
I currently work for Twin Rivers Unified School District as a High School French and Spanish Teacher. I am also a member of the American Translators Association working as a Freelance Translator from French, Spanish and Italian into English and vice-versa.
My previous employers include Professional Tutors of America where I was a Math, Reading and Writing Tutor, UC Davis where I was a Teaching Assistant in French when I was pursuing graduate studies in French. I worked as a substitute for Sacramento City Unified School District, Elk Grove Unified School District and San Juan Unified School District. When I was a student at CSU Sacramento, I worked as a French and Spanish Tutor in the Foreign Languages Department and as a Tutor in the Writing Center of the English Department during Spring of 2009. Students to whom I provided tutoring services got a grade of B+ and up in the class they were taking. I am passionate and enthusiastic about tutoring and I always prompt students for feedback either indirectly or through assessment to determine whether or not they understand the lesson being presented. Patience is my number one treasure. When combined with tenacity and perseverance, every student is capable of showing his or her potential.
