I am passionate about good food and cooking, and I have many years of cooking experience. I specialize in baking from scratch and cooking natural foods. I ran a small kitchen for 30 employees of a company from 1985-1987, and was student baker and cook's help at the Humboldt State Dining Commons from 1999-2001.
As an English tutor and teacher, I have often worked one-on-one with individuals whose first language is not English. Although I do not speak other languages (other than a little Spanish), if a student can speak, read, and write some English, I can help him or her gain fluency and tackle coursework in English more effectively.

I have always loved learning and excelled in school. Especially during college, I learned to focus and research, going after deep understanding and mastery of my lessons. My Masters Degree Program in English and Music Second Bachelors Degree Program both demanded intense investment from me, and I learned to meet those demands while also meeting my work, relationship, and health needs.
