I lived and grew up in Jordan until I was 26 and since then I have lived and studied in the United States for eight years. I received my AA degree from Consumes River College, my BA in political science, and my MA from California State University, Sacramento. I have my unique cultural background experiences that shaped my learning and knowledge acquisition. I developed self-confidence and a sense of independence at an early age. Plus, I worked very hard to sharpen my analytical skills, and more importantly, I was able to adjust quickly and ease the cultural shock that many students faced.
I have lived in two different cultures and have gained specific cultural knowledge as well as personal experiences in living in both the American and Middle Eastern cultures. I have the ability to relate well to people of ethnic and cultural diversity as well as assist students in their educational processes. I have supervised, coached children, assisted with homework assignments under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher. Furthermore, I scored papers and assisted the classroom teacher in curriculum areas. Also, I have tutored students in English, math, and science. In addition to that, I have the knowledge and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
