Richard is a distinguished educator and professor of organizational behavior, business communications, professional writing, public speaking, economics, statistics, and leadership development for Chapman University. He has taught multiple courses and helped students improve their understanding and command of the English language primarily through grammar, syntax, writing, presentation skills, associated technologies, and professional development curriculum. He has successfully mentored students from all backgrounds and helped them achieve goals in higher education since the mid-1990s. He promotes and values building lasting relationships, and encourages students who are motivated to become the very best in their chosen fields.
He studied Business, Communications, and Technology Management at the Universities of Texas and Maryland and holds Associate, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Business Administration degrees. He also holds Master Certificates in Contract Management and Organizational Leadership from Villanova University. He has served as president, chief financial officer, and chairman of the board of directors for corporate and private organizations, and has held adjunct faculty positions for universities and community colleges since 1995. He and his family have lived in California since May 1996.
