Your safety is an important consideration and in general we will meet at a local college library in Rosemead or Los Angeles (Eagle Rock). That way you will be in a safe and secure location where you can study comfortably once the tutoring experience is complete. I can also arrange to meet at a public location that works best for you.
I have a patient approach that depends heavily on repetition. I will cover a topic in depth until you have confidence to work problems on your own. I will also teach you good study habits and try to provide methods to help you learn more quickly. Finally, I have handouts that I have developed myself that will be of great assistance during our tutoring sessions. These proprietary handouts will be yours to keep once we have finished our tutoring session.
The courses I tutor include financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, corporate finance, managerial finance, mathematics of finance, statistics, econometrics and principles of economics. I can also tutor math courses such as arithmetic and algebra.
I have an MBA, an MS in finance, an MS in systems engineering, an MS in operations research, an MSEM in engineering management and a PhD in business administration. In addition, I am a Certified Internal Auditor so I am well-qualified to teach accounting courses.
