GTJ stands for Great Teacher Jones. I'm a teacher with energy and creativity. My first language is Mandarin and I also speak Taiwanese, Taiwan Amis Dialect, English, and Spanish. I lived in Mexico for 5 years, and learned my Spanish there!
I taught Mandarin for 1 year and 6 months in Mexico. My students ranged from 1 and half years old to 66 years old. The teaching methods for kids I always use are the Natural Approach combine with Total Physical Response and the Audio-Lingual Method. With adults, I use the Situational Language Teaching Method.
I believe both kids and adults need to learn a second or third language systematically. Kids especially need a fun and communicative learning environment. In order to meet each learner's need, I'm always willingly to adjust myself to accept and then adopt a different learning style and method.
I hope to have the opportunity to share the knowledge that I have learned and at the same time keep on improving my teaching skills along with my target students.
