My name is Melisa, and I am a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of California, Riverside. I am pursuing a career as a High School History, Math, and Physics teacher. I have had some experience working in classrooms at Bolsa Grande High School, as well as Vista Del Lago High School.

I am the eldest daughter of 5 children with my siblings' ages ranging from 10-19 years old. Over the years I have helped my siblings in any way I could, whenever they needed me. I am a very friendly, smart, and outgoing person. I also like to take time to try to teach subjects as best I can in different ways until the student can relate and understand the material.

Spanish

Spanish was my first and native language. I scored nearly perfect on the SAT Subjects Exam, and scored 5 out of 5 on the Advanced Placement(AP) Spanish Exam.

Elementary Math

I have taken enough undergraduate math courses to qualify to teach math. After I finish my undergraduate degree, I will apply to graduate school to get my Masters in Education and be credentialed to teach math.
