I have a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, a Master's degree in Biological Sciences, and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology at UC Riverside. During my time as a graduate student I gained experience teaching Introductory Biology, Animal Biology, Vertebrate Zoology, and Introductory Ecology. My teaching experience allowed me to work with students representing a diversity of socio-economic backgrounds. Before starting at UC Riverside, I spent a year working for Mount San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) and Cal Poly Pomona as a Biology lecturer. I also was employed at Cal Poly Pomona as an undergraduate curriculum adviser. As such, I know what is expected of successful college students who major in Biology, and I have been trained to help students succeed in Biology.

Biology is an ever-changing discipline and I am well aware of the challenges students face with it.

While working toward attaining a Master's degree in Biological Sciences from Cal Poly Pomona, I took several Biostatistics classes such as Biological Applications of ANOVA, Advanced Biometrics, etc. My Master's thesis required extensive statistical analysis.

Elementary Science

I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor's in Zoology in 2009, and a Master's in Biological Sciences in 2012. Cal Poly Pomona provides a well rounded education in all sciences and I am confident I can tutor elementary students in a way that makes science fun!

I played soccer competitively for 11 years. I have also coached U8 and U10 boys AYSO teams.

Trigonometry is my favorite type of math. I would be eager to help students understand and appreciate Trigonometry as much as I do.
