My years of teaching and public service, and interests in history, philosophy, religion, social theory and social structure provide wide understanding to assist you in your academic pursuits. My particular concerns are social inequalities, justice and fairness. I have initiated, sustained, and evaluated poverty and safety-net programs, and particularly enjoy the "ah-ha" of students realizing their connection to community and society.
