Math can be fun! That is how I approach tutoring. I graduated from California State University Northridge (CSUN) with a BS degree in electrical engineering. As an engineering student, I have a solid knowledge of mathematics, and my engineering experience has given me an insight into the way in which mathematics relates to real life applications. I have always been very passionate about teaching and my ultimate goal is to obtain my PhD and become a professor. I worked at CSUN as a math teacher for college algebra and also tutored numerous students in algebra, calculus and trigonometry, both privately and in the CSUN math tutoring labs. As a teaching associate, I conducted supplementary class sessions for students and provided practice problems to help them understand the subject better. Teaching students the techniques that I have learned and developed over the span of my high school and college experience will help them to greatly improve their understanding of math and subsequently improve their grades as well.
