I characterize myself as a renaissance man with multi-dimensional background. I have my Master's degree in Studio Photography having exhibited my work for over 10 years. I have been active with digital photography since 2003 and have instructed photography at the college level as well as numerous other subjects as a substitute teacher in the public schools system. I also have over 10 years background in scientific research having been employed through the UC and CSU systems. My Bachelor's degree is in Business Management where I graduated Summa Cum Laude, (top 1% in my class) as I did with my Master's degree as well. I have been a tutor at the college level as a student and have coached children aged 7 to 17 in baseball, softball and basketball. As a high school basketball player I achieved second team All American status. As a teacher I am not a cheerleader nor a task master. I will work to give my students all of my knowledge and experience making the journey as humorous and pleasant as possible and I expect them to be self-sufficient in dedicating themselves to the challenge of becoming the best they can be. Memorization is naturally an integral part of education in any discipline, but far more important than this is comprehension and application of what one has learned to real world situations. Education is just the jumping off point from where we take what has been done and expand the bounds of knowledge to the next level.
