College Counseling

I have extensive personal experience with applications for higher education. I recently completed my graduate studies at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and attended New York University for my undergraduate studies.

I have assisted numerous students write essays for college and graduate admissions in the last 7 years. I participated in an outreach program at Mount Sinai specifically for this purpose.

MCAT

The Medical College Admissions Test is required to enter medical school. Its test students problem-solving ability in physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, biology and verbal reasoning. While an undergraduate at New York University I performed well in all of these requisite pre-med classes. Additionally, I have personally taken the exam and scored a composite score of 32, with a 13 in verbal, 10 in physical sciences, and 9 in biological sciences,

Since graduating from NYU and entering graduate school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, I have tutored students studying for the MCAT. Additionally, I have other teaching experience as a teaching assistant for a graduate course entitled "Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
