Hello, my name is Christine. Through not only my education in Psychology, but also my internship at a group home for troubled teenage girls, I have learned to adapt to many different types of people. I am currently working with a girl with cerebral palsy. In working with these people, I have done a lot of tutoring with a wide variety of populations. I have developed different teaching methods and ways of explaining material that are tailored to each individual that have helped them to reach a higher level of learning.
I am excellent at explaining ideas and presenting them in different ways to promote better comprehension of the subject matter, which also encourages different perspectives and deeper understanding. I try to encourage people with a positive attitude so as to lower frustration and help the student to keep a clear head. As a result of teaching people, I myself feel that I learn a lot. With each person, I gain new perspectives and ideas. To me, teaching goes both ways and there is always room to learn.
