Hello my names Jake I have been an athlete all my life. I played many sports in high school and received a scholarship for Track to CSULB.

I am a knowledgeable tutor in sports such as Basketball, Throwing-Track and Field, Football, Boxing, Wrestling, Weightlifting and know a little bit on swimming and volleyball.

I am WTC certified in teaching the throws for track and field and currently training for the 2016 Olympics in the discus.
NCAA Top 25 in the nation for Shot-put/Discus.
All-American - Track and Field.

I specialize in teaching the offensive/defensive line for Football and the center/forward position for Basketball.

Football

I played High school Varsity Football for 4 years. I am knowledgeable in teaching techniques on the offensive and defensive line such as driving your hips, explode on the snap of the ball, arm placement when blocking, 3 point stance, 4 point stance, extra things to look for when blocking such as head placement and angle of attack. I can help with defensive moves such as teaching the "rip" or "swim" move to get past blockers and shuttle drills to increase speed and agility.

Basketball

I have 10 years of basketball experience.

I coached YMCA lakers basketball that focused on the fundamentals of footwork such as defensive slides, crossovers, ball hand placement, rebounding techniques, dribbling and running plays.

I learned strength development techniques from El Camino College. I took a course that focused on the development of strength as well as explosive Olympic strength training and have used these techniques to train myself and others.
