Hello! I am Chelsea and a current freshman (Class of 2015) attending Washington University in St. Louis. Originally from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and a 2011 graduate of Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, I have particularly excelled in musical theatre for over 10 years training within the Palos Verdes Peninsula School District, the Norris Theater's Negri Learning Center, the Drama Teachers' Association of Southern California (DTASC), California Educational Theater Organization (CETA), and the Performing Arts Department (PAD) at Washington University. Through DTASC, I have received two awards out of hundreds of students for my work in student written and monologue categories. At Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, I had the honor of being elected best actress by my peers for two years in a row.

As a theater major at Washington University, I am currently enrolled in performance-based as well as theater culture studies courses. Additionally, I am involved with several student theater productions holding important, if not, lead roles.

My past experience as a tutor includes an 8-month employment period at Kumon Learning Center, Inc. in Rolling Hills Estates, CA. I tutored children ranging from age 2-13 in reading and arithmetic. With English also as an area of expertise, I have always been enrolled in an honors or AP English course throughout high school maintaining A's all 8 semesters in that subject while participating in several honor societies involving science, community service, Spanish, and musical theater.

A professional resume of theater experience and past employment is available upon request.

I am very willing to tutor through Skype and phone or when I return home during breaks in the winter, spring, and summer.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Theatre

With well over ten shows to my name of performing experience and a couple shows of technical experience, I am more than qualified to teach the fundamentals of theatre with a focus on acting. Currently a drama major, I am involved with theatre culture studies and performance-based coursework. A professional resume is available upon request.
