Dear Student and Parents:
I am PhD graduate student from the chemical engineering department at UC Riverside. I have had extensive tutoring experience since I entered as an undergraduate for my university.
Almost all of my students grade bloomed tremendously after a couple of weeks tutoring with me. Some of them get A after one or two sessions,whose grades were C before they met me. In May 2012, 90 percent of my AP subject students get grade above 4. I received a lot of letters from my previous students and parents, in which they share their happiness of seeing the tremendous improvement in academy.
One of my strongest teaching technique is: instead of telling the students the homework answers, I teach them how to use the formulas and concepts taught in class to find the solution; during the process of directing them to the answer, I am extremely patient and friendly to give them an encouraging environment to gain the motivation to understand clearly step by step how to get to the answer by themselves. I was able to help most of my students to increase their grade dramatically, most being A's, and all passed the AP (Advanced Placement) exams. Nonetheless, the biggest triumph in my tutoring experience is being able to drive students away from taking math and science class as an obligation into developing a desire to learn the physics or chemistry concept behind the hand-on activities that I organized and exposed them to.
I not only teach student how to solve the problems, but also help them develop efficient study method, which includes how to manage the study time, how to grab the key concepts in one chapter and how to find the weak part in their understanding of those concepts.
I have worked as an AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Environmental and AP Calculus teacher for couple of education institutions. I am very experienced in assisting students to find the correct pathways in a short time.
