Dear Concerned Parent or Student,
Whether you are trying to raise your grade, pass a standardized test or simply understand concepts more efficiently, I am the tutor for you and your student.
I recently graduated from Saint Mary's College of California with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in Theology and Religious Studies. At SMC, I was on the Dean's Honor List and received many honors, including the 2009 CRC Award for the top General Chemistry student. I was a TA and tutored students that were weak in science. I was a Resident Adviser for sophomores and juniors, and helped them select their major and prepare for life after college.
In high school I took AP Biology, AP Calculus and Honors English. In college, I took multiple upper division biology and chemistry classes, as well as many classes requiring advanced reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Graduating from a Liberal Arts College, I feel confident in a wide range of subjects and teaching techniques.
I am currently preparing to apply for medical school. My passion for medicine is only equaled by my passion for learning and teaching. I deeply enjoy helping students and sharing my passion for learning. I look forward to challenges and overcoming difficulties that stand in the way of fully grasping concepts that trouble students. I will find the best technique to help your student to not only increase their grade but to work towards a better understanding of the subject at hand.
Throughout my education I balanced school work with extracurricular activities. In high school I was a two sport athlete, baseball and soccer, and in college I played on the club soccer team as well as volunteering for various organizations. Balance is a difficult skill to learn for many students and I can pass on how I have learned to succeed in class while enjoying sports and other activities.
