I have been working in the public school system for over 14 years as a substitute teacher, Barton Tutor, teacher's assistant and art docent. I have been a tutor for the last 4 years and have worked with adults and elementary aged students. I am CLAD certified and have had ESL clients.

I obtained my Master's in Elementary Education and am looking forward to helping people of all ages. I develop a great bond with my students. My ultimate goal is to promote the joy of life-long learning. I am passionate about fostering good self esteem and providing a positive, warm and nurturing learning environment. I enjoy mixed media art, creative writing, poetry, journaling, reading, music and cooking. I am available to work with learners of all ages.

I have a total of over 16 years of experience teaching adults and children. I specialize in collaborative learning and can adapt almost any materials to suit many different types of learners. I frequently use creativity as a way to explore my student's learning capabilities and utilize materials that will be fun and user friendly. My two best references are my own children who are organized students with a wonderful attitude about school and learning, which we have fostered together since they started school! They have already mastered being able to place school as their priority amongst their many activities and have excellent grades.

I look forward to working with you!

Some students know the material, but the process of multiple choice tests can be stressful. I highly advise taking a deep breath or two before diving in.
