I've been working in education for the past three years and I love it! My primary experience is working with special needs students in grades k-12 as an instructional assistant. I currently work at a high school but enjoy working with students of all ages. I believe everybody learns differently and that education should be delivered in the form that best suits the students. I also believe in collaborating with students to set goals and helping them to push themselves to achieve! Many students lack confidence in their abilities and I like to help students realize their potential so that they can excel inside and outside of the classroom. School not only prepares students for college but for life as well and learning how to face challenges in school will help them to face whatever life throws at them!
I think what I bring to any students' learning experience is patience, adaptability and a lot of fun! I also have a background in counseling and art which gives me a creative edge and an ability to think outside the box. I love to learn and want my students to love it as well--and even if they don't, maybe we can make it hurt a little less! I have a genuine interest in the students I teach and care about their growth and development tremendously. My career in education is very rewarding and I enjoy making education rewarding for others!
