I'm a Math whiz when it comes to Pre-College Math and Beginning Algebra, my specialty is in Fractions, Decimals and Formulas. I wasn't always this way- until one of my High School teachers held me after class to explain it to me, I didn't understand Math. I will show you the same dedication in helping you to understand Math, as he did for me.
I work with pencil & paper to work through the problems in your work assignments. I teach through example, in a visual manner, first doing the problems for you and then having you test your skills to do the next problems for yourself. I will be working from your text book to solve the problems you are encountering. Our sessions will start slow, as I question you about your current understanding of Math and as you gain confidence in my skills.
I'm also a computer nut, not a Geek or a Hacker, but someone who uses a computer everyday for everyday needs. I have been using Intel based computers since 1994 and I have taught myself Basic Language in ATARI Basic and DOS Command line on my first Intel 486 computer. I hold an AAS degree in IT-Security(2012) at Heald college Concord, CA where I learned software & hardware, along with networking, wired & wireless.
I am certified through CompTIA in OS software and Workstation/Network hardware. I have extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite 2007 specializing in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
I also hold an AAS degree in Business Admin- Accounting(2010) at Heald college Concord, CA where I first volunteered my time, in the Library Resource Center, to tutor other students learning the subjects I had just mastered. Later on in my second term, I was offered a paid tutoring position, where I tutored in 1 hour sessions by appointment. The subjects I tutored in were Accounting fundamentals, Computer fundamentals, Math, Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint.
