I'm a dedicated athlete and have been actively engaged in baseball and boxing for over 10 years. I'm currently the key player, team captain, and coach for the Leaders Baseball Club. My club has been a competitive and committed member of the Azteca Baseball League (Los Angeles, Ca) since 2003. I joined the club in 2005, and since then we've acquired four championships, six 2nd place titles, and have over ten play-off appearances. I'm committed to creating a fun, united, motivated, competitive, dedicated, and successful team, with excellent chemistry and a solid understanding of baseball. I'm Responsible for teaching and effectively communicating practice routines, position techniques, strategies, skills, fundamentals, and the basic rules of baseball. I have an excellent eye for identifying areas that need improvement in my players, and effective in improving such areas. I only ask that my players have fun, work hard, and play hard as I too (as a current player) continuously increase my knowledge of the game, it's rules, and the game play. I'm currently trusted by my team to start, play, perform, and produce at these positions - catcher, pitcher, 1st & 2nd, and right field. However, I coach all positions. I've also earned the clean-up spot in our batting order and have produced there since 2008, therefore allowing me to recognize and improve hitters, and sluggers. I'm always motivated and excited to share my knowledge of America's favorite past-time.
I've been involved in and have practiced the art of pugilism since 1999. My experience began at the Oscar De La Hoya Youth Center (East L.A.) and carried over to Casa Blanca Boxing Club (Riverside). Although I never boxed professionally, on many occasions I served as a tough sparring partner for both amateurs and pros alike. It takes a high level of discipline to perform at a professional level which few individuals possess. I have trained both beginners and seasoned fighters for over 5 years, however the sport has proven to be tougher than most. I'm more than capable of training anyone who is willing to learn this respected art form. I possess extensive knowledge in the basics, proper form, ring generalship, footwork, speed/stamina/strength building, conditioning, combinations, sparring, live fighting, nutrition, and dieting. Furthermore, I can identify and train boxers, sluggers, and counter-punchers. I continue to travel and spar throughout the L.A. I constantly increase and exercise my experience, expertise, and knowledge of the pugilistic art form. I welcome all who are ready and willing to learn.
Thank You. - Mr. M.
