First of all let me begin by expressing my gratitude in regards to considering me for the possibility of tutoring your child. Obviously you are passionate about your child achieving academic success. This is my passion as well. Few things are more fulfilling than inspiring a child to succeed. It has been my privilege to empower children for academic success for 10 years. Should I be given the honor of tutoring your child, I will empower your child to achieve and maximize their full potential. It’s amazing what children can do when they are effectively taught and know that people believe in them.
My experience in education includes a variety of working environments. I began my career at a Non-Public School, working with students that were diagnosed as Emotionally Disturbed. The majority of my students were medicated and were transitioning out of juvenile hall or a psyche-hospital. Next I worked at Inglewood High School where I fulfilled the positions of Resouce Specialist Teacher, Special Day Program Teacher, Department Chair and Union Representative for the Special Education Department of the entire district. Recently I worked for Total Education Solutions as Lead Resource Specialist. This position included overseeing the Special Education Departments of eight charter schools. As Lead Resource Specialist I was responsible for caseload management, providing resource services, consulting with administrators and teachers, compliance, mentoring Resource Specialist Teachers, coordinating Special Education services, and writing and implementing IEP’s. I’ve also worked as an adjunct professor for National University within the Department of Special Education, teaching future General and Special Educators.
At this time I’m working as a Special Education consultant, providing a variety of Special Education services and professional developments to help meet the Special Education needs of Charter School administrators, teachers, staff, parents and students. In addition to my career I recently earned my second M.A. in Educational Leadership with an Emphasis in Educational Technology and Learning and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (Tier I) from Azusa Pacific University. In the very near future I plan to earn a Ph.D in Education and PASC (Tier II) from USC. I currently hold an M.A. in Special Education as well as my CLEAR Level II Education Specialist Instruction Credential.
Once again thank you for your consideration. I look forward to working with you and your child in the very near future.
