Hello, my name is Sid. I recently returned from Italy where I was studying language, culture and many other things as part of an exchange program called Erasmus. I have an A.A. in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Santa Rosa Junior College where I studied Italian (Class of 2005) and a B.A. in Economics from Sonoma State University (Class of 2007). I lived in Italy with several exchange students and mentored them as well as acted as a translator. I also lived with native Italians. Though my education is not specifically in Italian language, my combination of experience and background can aid you in becoming comfortable speaking, reading and writing and also to have a friend and contact that you can utilize if you plan on traveling in Italy. About me: I come from an Italian family. I recently lived in Macerata, Italy from July of 2010 until August of 2011. I speak traditional Tuscan almost fluently and understand some slang and dialect. I have been all over from Venice to Bologna to Naples. I have a lot of Italian friends on Facebook. I follow Italian politics and current events. I have family in Pisa, Milano and Napoli. I grew up in California and I have dual citizenship.
