Dear Sir/Madam

In regards to experience, I have taught at all levels in the secondary school system, both at private and state schools, to both single sex and co-educational student groups.

My main subject areas have been Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Science; however I have also taught English and Business Studies. I have taught years 9-13, and am fluent in the current University of Cambridge International Examinations and New Zealand NCEA material.

I have also taught at a tertiary level Business and Communications Studies for nineteen years at The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.

I have run a successful tutoring company for ten years. Tutoring responsibilities have included both revision of class work and exam preparation for New Zealand NCEA (levels 1-3) and International Cambridge Examinations (IGSCE - A level) in Mathematics, English, Science, Physics, Chemistry and Economics. I am fully conversant with the modern curriculum and have had successful results with all my students.

I believe that education is a vocation and that educators are professionals who need to reflect this by maintaining the highest standard both in academic matters and matters of personal conduct. I believe that this can be imparted to students to assist them in reaching their true academic potential.

I seek to maintain the highest standards of classroom behavior in order to facilitate a positive and efficient learning process, and believe in keeping excellent classroom management. I want to provide a positive and creative environment for students so that they can realize their potential.

I wish education to be accessible to all my students and that they understand and embrace the material taught. I strongly embrace a positive learning environment where students develop a motivation to explore the curriculum. I have a commitment to making students feel confident and successful in their studies, so that they may continue to foster an interest in the subjects I teach.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
