I graduated with a Doctorate of Philosophy (Electrical Engineering) from UCLA and I currently work at NASA. I am passionate about tutoring to a diverse crowd, with experience with kids as well. I have been involved with tutoring for several years during my PhD graduate studies at UCLA. I firmly believe that all students are potential 'A+', it is just a matter of personalizing the material to the specific learning curve that each person has. My lessons are organized in terms of Syllabus, divided into 3 different levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced level.
My background is mainly focused on Math, Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, Science, Engineering, and Electronics. I will teach you problem-solving skills that will enable you to tackle any types of subject problem that present in front of you in homework, midterms, finals, or standardized tests like GRE or TOEFL.
My hands-on research expertise allows me to solve technical problems as it would be done in real-life situations.
I am also a native Italian speaker. I apply the 'direct method' meaning that after the first couple of lessons, I will try to minimize the use of English to get a full immersion into the Italian language. It is demonstrated to be more effective than passive/traditional translation. All the learning steps will be accompanied by pronunciation exercises, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
I gained extended experience on the design of circuits involving resistors, capacitors, inductors (LCR), fundamental in studying e.g. filters, resonators. I amknowledgable of methods involved in the analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversions, employing several architecture strategies to maximize speed, throughput, or minimize the circuit complexity. During my PhD research, I worked on microelectronic fabrication focused on devices, and electrical characteristics of electronic components allowing me to intimately study complex functionalities. During my master program, I focused my studies on digital computation (including adders/dividers/multipliers/multiplexers) and programming (VHDL) in simulations of digital circuits.
