A Princeton graduate, I have been a teacher with LAUSD for over a decade. I'm experienced teaching ESL students (English as Second Language) of all ages, levels of ability, and from all over the world. I am extremely capable in English, History, Social Sciences, Math, and the 'Hard' Sciences. At the same time I'm very personable and approachable; I bring a lot of enthusiasm and passion to all of the subjects I teach.

My teaching method in general is to break things down, and to focus on the method of approaching problems, or questions, so that the student learns the method of approaching problems him/herself.

I've been an adult education teacher for the past decade. In that capacity I've taught concurrent students, continuation students, adult students and "at risk" students.

Oh, and I run 10K races for fun!

If you're interested, get in touch.

Patient and Knowledgeable Tutor — George is an experienced tutor who knows what I need. He designed the course accordingly in order to improve my weakest part, pronunciation.
