Art History

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree form the University of Michigan. As an avid world traveller, I have visited the major museums, buildings and galleries in the world, including the great Hermitage, Tretyakov, Louvre, National Galleries of London and USA, Berlin and Vienna and more. My hobby is to visit every Da Vinci and Caravaggio. I have special interest Italian frescoes and all aspects of the renaissance as well as contemporary artists. My specialty is German expressionism.

Career Development

I have 23 years of experience in marketing, events, and public relations. My career includes rising through the ranks of major freelance marketing firms to corporate positions with iconic brands.

I held various corporate positions with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, North America 2003-09, including Western Region Manager of Marketing, which held the #1 worldwide position for sales during my tenure. The positions covered marketing, events and proposals, branding, CRM, media and customer relations, and sales training.

I have recently enjoyed consulting for Korean businessmen who needed help in both business plans and proposals while improving their English skills.

I have extensive experience with public speaking, video hosting, training and facilitating, along with writing AD-copy, speeches, proposals and presentations.

Drawing

I have a bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and specialized in figure drawing. I also taught some classes as needed at the school. I have illustrated my own children's book-which is a cross between a fiction chapter book and a graphic novel approach.

ESL/ESOL

I am best qualified to tutor young people and adults in writing, reading, and conversational business language skills.

My recent students have been Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Japanese businessmen and women in need of improving their English skills with a more natural way of conversing and writing. This proved to be a perfect combination of my English teaching skills and business background.

I also enjoy teaching young people with a patient and natural approach, concentrating on proper English as well as the many idioms and phrases the student will need in the USA. I improve conversational and writing skills.

I have experience working with foreign companies and with non-English speaking colleagues through my last corporate positions in 'Communications' and 'Marketing' at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America.

I copy edited a nonfiction book and have a fine command of English grammar, reading and writing. My current work in the voice-over industry brings the added skills of clear pronunciation and voice coaching to the tutoring experience.

I have many years of experience as a trainer and facilitator in front of live audiences for major automotive brands and marketing companies. This includes on-camera experience for numerous training videos/DVD's, and as an 'in-house' corporate newsreader for major brands.

From 2003 to 2009 I held corporate positions with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars LLC, (under BMW) as noted in my business résumé. These positions included public relations, event marketing and advertising duties. I spoke to the media as a corporate representative and wrote and presented corporate and customer presentations.

I currently book work as a voice over artist and audition regularly via recorded and live commercial auditions. I have filmed commercials and recorded Voice Over jobs. This provides another aspect of preparing and performing at a demanding level.

Reading

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
