American History

As a history major, with my BA from Lewis & Clark College, I have both a deep passion for history, as well as excellent background in methodologies and nuances of the study of history itself. Also, as a teacher who's worked with both adult and youth learners, I have established good rapport, and know how best to work with, teens and adults.

Grammar

Most people hear the word 'grammar' and they cringe, but languages and their structures are a puzzle, so figuring out that puzzle can actually be fun, and hugely rewarding once you do. As a veteran ESL/English teacher, I have the skills and tools to help students do just that: demystify and master the seeming mysteries or puzzling aspects of English grammar.

Reading

It's cliche but true - reading opens up worlds...Some of the most valuable and integral parts of language, culture, and brain development are contained in and achieved through reading. To be able to accurately read, understand, and utilize texts is hugely significant and beneficial. As a highly trained teacher/tutor, I have had tremendous and rewarding success helping multitudes of students improve their English reading skills, and take great joy in doing so.

Writing
