Hello, and thank you for your interest!
My name is Kevin, and I am currently pursuing my PhD in chemical engineering at Caltech. I graduated magna cum laude in chemical engineering and applied mathematics from Yale University and am avidly in love with all things science.
Throughout my education, I've always been struck by how dry science and math education can be, and I strongly believe that one only learns effectively by doing and applying. I will work with students to make subjects come alive and hopefully relevant in their lives!
I am looking for students who are particularly motivated to learn science. This does not mean you need to be good at science! As long as you are willing to work hard, I will work doubly as hard to make learning science a rewarding experience for you. I am only looking to take a couple students, so that I can better focus and tailor the teaching experience. While my specialties lie in math, physics, and chemistry, in high school I was a national AP scholar, and I can help students tailor their study plan for any subjects they might want to pursue.
As a bonus, I can also help students navigate the large world of science and serve as a mentor for students considering some kind of science-related career.
