- Introduction -
My parents placed great importance on education from a very young age. As a current graduate student studying theology in Pasadena, I look back and realize that my education has given me countless opportunities to pursue my future goals. It is with this outlook that I approach each of my students when teaching: education equals opportunity and all students can achieve.
- Education and Qualifications -
Brandeis University, B.A. in American Studies, Sociology, and Journalism, 3.5 GPA.
SAT I score 1420 out of 1600. SAT II Writing score 720.
NJ teaching certificate in elementary education through Teach for America.
Lead English teacher in a private school in South Korea for three years.
Private tutor in all subjects and ages for past 10 years.
Age range and areas of expertise for tutoring: Elementary through middle school, all subjects including ESL.
- Teaching Philosophy -
I believe that all students can excel with the right guidance, encouragement, and effort. I am respectful of each student's individuality and strengths, but also gently challenge when necessary.
Whether your child is struggling with a particular subject in school or is already doing well, but wants to heighten their scores, I have helped all of my students improve their academic performance and grades.
