I'm an experienced tutor with a strong background in critical reading and essay writing pedagogy, and experience tutoring for the SAT and ACT as well. I have demonstrated success in helping students raise their test scores and put their best foot forward on exams including AP exams, the SAT and ACT, SAT 2 subject tests, and the ISEE. Lessons are custom-tailored to each student based on learning style, goals, and the student's demonstrated mastery of the content.
I attended Azusa Pacific University, where I studied English (with an emphasis in Writing) and Music. I believe in the power of one-on-one tutoring to inspire students to excel in and out of the classroom, more than just to help students pass a test. I have been tutoring privately and through a test-prep center for over a year, and have tutored a wide variety of subjects and types of students in that time.
