I can help you master the material you find most challenging, and in the process teach you how to increase your Learning Quotient (LQ), which is a measure of the efficiency with which you are able to assimilate new information. An improved LQ will benefit you in all areas of study as you proceed through your academic career, and obviate the need for any further tutoring.
I graduated from Caltech in '03 with a PhD in neuroscience, and since then have taught at Pasadena City College as well as other community colleges in the LA area. I have taught classes in Biology, Environmental Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology. I'm now attending a Master's of Public Health program at USC. I took the revised GRE in Sept. 2011 to apply to the program and achieved a perfect score on the verbal reasoning section.
Regardless of the subject I'm teaching, I aim to provide my students with the tools necessary to increase both their literacy and numeracy.
