Thank you for your time to read my profile! Currently I'm taking ONLY online students since I'm going to move to North California in January 2015. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience.
But I want to explain how my online lesson is going to be.
First, my wage is going to be $40/hour (usually $45/hour). I would like to make and give a quiz (if you want) to review grammars before our lesson (maybe it takes about 15min), and start our lesson. (so our lesson is going to be total 1hour and 15min, but I'll charge for one hour) we look over the quiz together, and I'll explain if you forget or you don't understand the questions. Also, I usually give some homework to my students, so I correct it while you do the quiz. There is no big difference between online lesson and actual lesson. We just need to have the same textbook. I have many textbooks for each level, so I can give you some advices for textbooks as well.
This is my profile as a Japanese
I am a native Japanese speaker, with formal training in teaching Japanese as a foreign language
. I am a graduate of KEC Japanese Language
Institute in Kobe, Japan. I studied to become a Japanese teacher with the intention of teaching outside of Japan. I have experience teaching people of all levels and backgrounds both in Japan and here in Los Angeles. Currently, I also have some celebrities as my clients. I appreciate that I always can meet new people and really enjoy and love my job.
I worked for Berlitz before, and they sent me to Sony Pictures and Sony Networks. I was teaching there from 2010 to 2012. I am comfortable to teach in a group, and business
Japanese. I am experienced in JLPT prep work as well. Also, I was working at Japanese Saturday school until March 2013. I was in charge of the 6-year-old class. I also love teaching kids and young people. After I started focusing on private lessons more, I also started teaching via online. You can find me among online tutors as well. By the way, I LOVE teaching beginners!!
I put a lot of time and effort into my lesson preparation. I am confident you will both learn a lot and have fun. I also love sharing stories about Japan with people who come from different countries. I want to tell you about Japanese culture as well as the language.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. (I love Osaka!) I moved to Los Angeles in 2010. I like manga/anime, movies, owarai (Japanese comedy) and cooking
. I make a mean cheesecake (My Japanese cooking is good too though!). I love to chit-chat in person and by email
I understand how hard learning another language is because I'm still learning English
, and also I started learning other Asian languages: Korean
I will be very happy if I can help you!
