Deaf Studies ( ASL and Deaf Culture) and Elementary tutor

Hello, my name is Kiah. I am a recent graduate of Cal State University Northridge with a B.A in Deaf Studies and a minor in Dance. I currently work for After School All-Stars teaching; ASL and dance: ballet, modern and hip hop.

I also help my students with their homework mostly 6th grade math and English. I can also tutor students k-7 with homework. I like to really work with whoever I'm tutoring patiently and make sure they grasp the info/knowledge thoroughly. I like to start off with brain stimulating activities before I start the subject of interest. I'm a very helpful and creative person by nature and hope I can help you with your needs. Sign Language

I have a B.A in Deaf Studies from Cal State University Northridge (know for their Deaf program). I've been signing for a little over 5 years and have extensive knowledge in Deaf culture and American Sign Language. I also teach sign language to interested middle school students in the after school program I work for.

Ballet

I have a minor in Dance from Cal State University Northridge. I have extensive knowledge in: ballet, modern, and hip hop. Styles that I have done: ballet, pointe, hip hop, jazz, modern, and belly dancing. I've been on two hip hop dance teams and on the Fox show "Mobbed". I've have choreographed for my dance teams and for the children I teach at a middle school. I've been dancing for 19 years and love teaching dance.

Hard Of Hearing

My time at Cal State University Northridge allowed me to be involved not only in Deaf Studies, but also with Deaf people. I've signed with men, women and children of all ages. I have also helped a former alumni in her deaf student filled class at the middle school I work a a few times.
