Dear Students and/or Parents,
There are hundreds of tutors in Los Angeles so why should you hire me?
If you're looking for a tutor who is fully capable of bringing out the best in you/your child then I am absolutely the right person to hire.
If you want to excel and become self-sufficient then I am the right tutor for you.
If you're looking for a knowledgeable, effective, economical and patient tutor with a sensitivity towards individual learning styles then I am definitely the right person for your needs.
I see tutoring as a collaborative effort between a teacher and a student to solve problems and tackle challenges so that each individual's highest potential can be met.
Regardless of how enormous or difficult the challenge, we can tackle it together if we do so from the right angle and tailor learning to your unique needs.
During our first meeting or phone call I will patiently listen to your concerns and then together we will set some goals for how to proceed and where we want to be after each lesson. We will do our very best to meet these goals together.

I am punctual, can prioritize tasks, and have great time management skills.
I have worked as a tutor since I was 15 years old. I began as volunteer after-school staff and have worked my way up to consistent employment in the homes of wonderful families. I have also worked in more formal setting such as the Hayward Unified School District.
I have extensive experience with homework help, K-5, and have taught social science, literature, English spelling, and grammar, as well as other relevant subjects to high school and college students.
I also help edit college essays and applications. I write great cover letters and resumes.
Currently I have several regular clients who receive help writing college level papers.
I have an extensive resume available upon request. I am CPR/AED/First Aid trained, have transportation and can accommodate special needs or English as second language.
I have been formally employed as a behavioral aid/instructor working with children with autism, ADD, ADHD, developmental and learning challenges, and other special needs. This experience has been incredibly moving. I have learned patience, and understanding, as well as an appreciation for people's abilities.
My approach is a fun-friendly method; however, I know that children need structure and will benefit from being held accountable.
