Hello, I am Auster. I graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Dec. of 2013 with a Chemical Engineering degree with a GPA of 3.8. I have experience working to tutor first and second year college students in multi-variable calculus as well as physics. While working with them, I developed my own manual to best teach the material.

I have a strong background in Math and Science, and I can teach all sorts of standardized tests including AP, SAT, and ACT. I have scored over 700 on each of the SAT sections. In terms of teaching methods, I am patient and can work with students of any age and education level. I like to start by probing what the students know and develop a curriculum that will fit their needs the best.

I attended a full stack web development bootcamp and am very passionate about programming.

Auster is friendly, easy going, and knowledgeable. Our son felt at ease right away and Auster went right to work helping him with trigonometry.

He really knows what he is doing and he explains things very well. I would definitely recommend other people to try him out.

Auster did a great job helping with AP Chemistry. He is a recent UCLA grad and crazy smart. He is easy to work with and explains each step very thorough but certainly made me work along with him. I will continue using him and would recommend him to others as well.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
