Hello, I am Auster. I graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Dec. of 2013 with a Chemical Engineering degree with a GPA of 3.8. I have experience working to tutor first and second year college students in multi-variable calculus as well as physics. While working with them, I developed my own manual to best teach the material.
I have a strong background in Math and Science, and I can teach all sorts of standardized tests including AP, SAT, and ACT. I have scored over 700 on each of the SAT sections. In terms of teaching methods, I am patient and can work with students of any age and education level. I like to start by probing what the students know and develop a curriculum that will fit their needs the best.
My schedule is very flexible, and I am available during weekends as well. If interested, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I graduated from UCLA with a Chemical Engineering degree. I received an A in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. My engineering degree uses a lot of calculus, so I have a very strong background in it.
I graduated from UCLA with a Chemical Engineering degree.
I've done well in all my math classes in high school and college. I scored 800 on SAT II math, and A's in all of my college level math classes. I've also worked with kids before, so I know how to teach them so they learn most effectively.
I did very well in my Geometry classes in High School, as well as college. I have a strong basis in logic-type problems, as well as shapes and geometry of objects. I can make sure that the student will not only have a practical knowledge of Geometry, but also an abstract one.
I took Linear Algebra at UCLA and received a grade of "A".
I graduated from UCLA with a Chemical Engineering degree. I've taken Mechanical Engineering classes including fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, and structural analysis. Chemical engineering is simply a more specific focus of Mechanical Engineering.
I graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree from UCLA. My curriculum included one full year of organic chemistry, including structures, mechanics of reactions, and lab work. I received A's in the organic chemistry series. I also received Stone's prize for excellence in general Chemistry in 2011 from UCLA. I know the difficult parts that students have to learn in organic chemistry.
My chemical engineering degree at UCLA included all the basic physics classes, including motion, optics, magnetism, electricity, and other physics subjects. I scored an "A" in all of my physics classes. My engineering classes also utilize a lot of physics.
I scored over 700 on the SAT reading section. I also have a strong comprehension skillset. I can teach my student how to most effectively determine the meaning behind a passage and how to eliminate the wrong answers.
I did very well in both high school level and college level trigonometry. I can easily teach the triangle relationships as well as making the students see the big picture behind trigonometry.
