I am a graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in Classics and a minor in Piano Performance. I have been playing the piano for over 20 years and have tutored many beginner and intermediate level students throughout this time. I am very passionate about my music and believe that helping a student learn to play the piano can enhance their life drastically. I am willing to drive to a student's home whenever their schedule permits. I have competed in numerous competitions, including the Berkeley Junior Bach Festival, the Menuhin/Dowling Young Musicians Competition at the Nueva School, Hillsborough, and the United States Open Music Competition in Oakland.
All of this experience, including my years of tutoring, has enabled me to cater to a student's needs and help them reach their full potential.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Ear Training

I have been playing piano for the past 22 years. Along with my daily practicing, I completed all levels of the Certificate of Merit Program offered by the Music Teachers' Association of California while in high school. Following this, I attended USC where I took 4 semesters of ear training, and received an A in each class. Today, I assist musicians studying to complete their Certificate of Merit.
