On paper I have a BFA with an emphasis on sculpture and design, as well as work experience at Macchiarini Creative Design relating specifically to art. But this is just a starting point on my involvement in the art world. It started with drawing and painting, as those were the most accessible materials at the time, but at a young age it soon became apparent that any item or material could be used to create visual displays. The key I found to successfully working in multimedia was not simply a mastering of material or technique but the ability to translate the initial environment threw the materials at hand. This first starts with outlining a goal, weather it is to create something specific or practice techniques working form a beginner's level and work up. I adjust my teaching technique with each individual after gaining an understanding of their best learning method. I like to enjoy and have fun in my personal creation process and strive to create a similar positive environment for those I am mentoring. Instead of teaching specific techniques one at a time, I want to have the student invested in what they are working on by starting with a goal of the student rather than multiple miscellaneous exercises.
